I'm Tex. From what I understand you've been assigned to teach. I am the existing teacher on board, to be joined by you and one other. I was just wondering if you wanted to meet and get a tour of the classroom facilities and library.

considering i dont know where they are probably good

how big are the classrooms

so what kind of nerd are you or did they frag up assigning everybody

I really don't know how to explain the job assignments here, but I like kids okay so I haven't changed. This has nothing at all to do with what I did back when I came from though.

There's one classroom and there's a science lab that Bruce Banner teaches out of if someone wants to learn something complicated.

i like sparklings as much as the next mech but that doesnt mean people normally leave them with me

That makes a difference. The classroom is sized for human activities so I don't know what you want to do about helping.

it just means mini mes gonna be coming for a visit. i havent gotten to run around that way for a while

[ Tex doesn't bother to answer, simply standing by for Whirl to arrive. She's wearing one of the ship's uniforms, rather than her imposing armor, as she doesn't wear the armor to teach. ]

[ Instead of the giant robot you were probably expecting, the person who pops up around the corner is a short, blue haired girl wearing pigtails and an eyepatch. She's also wearing a pair of overalls and kneesocks. She grins madly as she appears around the doorframe and looks around the room.]

Jeeze. I'm gonna be stuck like this all the time. I'd never fit right in here. My wings would be so cramped.

[She trots on into the room, jamming her ands in her pockets.]

Are you Tex?

[ It wasn't until Whirl arrived that the penny dropped for Tex—like herself, Whirl could transfer her consciousness from her robot body to a human body. This is something Tex had mostly kept secret, though those who had been paying attention had probably figured it out—but Tex mostly put up the pretense that she actually was human.

She doesn't remark on it, though, just tucks it in her pocket for later. ]

I'm Tex. Nice model.

Isn't it fun?

[Whirl's avatar grins. She cackles and spins on her heel so that she can show off. She'd probably show up as human if someone didn't know otherwise, though she does have very similar body language to the giant bot version, and her hands seem to default to being held like her claws in her other form.

This is...probably the me you're going to see more often. She fits in here better.

[ The smile is infectious, though Tex doesn't more than smirk. ]

Yeah, I have a similar policy myself.

[ That makes her pause, and her head tilts, which looks significantly less odd in this body. ]

Are you too big for the room too? Because that would be really funny if you ask me!

Nah, my other form is human-sized. But the helmet doesn't have a face, and I find the students like being able to see my face, so...

[ She shrugs. ]

Besides, I've become strangely attached to this body.

Faces are for losers.

[She says with a giddy sort of laugh, and she uses a finger to drag down the edge of her eye.]

But this one's fun. Sometimes. I get'cha.

[She looks up at the room again.]

So, Tex. Who's in charge?

Me. I'm the only one left from before.

We answer to the captains, though, of course.

[ Whirl claps her hands. ]

Okay then, Boss. You're not so bad.

I don't know about them too much though. Aside from the fact that they think I'm teacher material.

[ Tex smirks, the closest she comes to laughing most of the time. You're making a good first impression, Whirl! ]

Hey, even if they've made a mistake, we'll have fun proving them wrong.
